Lymphatic Education & Research Network International Meeting – April 12

66

Lymphology has deep roots in the history of medicine and is now experiencing a period of profound innovation and evolution aided by continuous technological and cultural stimuli and the continuous refinement of existing procedures and the development of new methods.

The dynamic multifacetedness of the factors that make up this discipline, therefore, necessitates a cross-disciplinary interpretation that is based on multidisciplinary patient care. Around the latter gravitates the mission of health care personnel aimed at a comprehensive taking charge of the patient by promoting his or her study in its entirety and in its fundamental relationship with the environment and the social context that surrounds him or her, in the broadest sense of the term.

To this end, it is essential to promote the inseparable link between the therapeutic-care approach and the patient’s human relationships and social context while always continuing to promote scientific research.

The concept of integrated care therefore also includes the goal of achieving stable subjective improvement in the patient’s daily life.

The aim of the Congress is to emphasize the importance of educational comparison between the experiences of the centers of excellence of LE&RN chapters as an indispensable tool for harmonious and plenary patient care.
